自从1998年起，谷歌就开始为各种特殊的日子设计一系列称之为Google Doodles的徽标，以此庆祝节日，纪念名人，周年日，著名的艺术家，先锋者和科学家。 从第一个徽标的设计起(象征着Burning Man节日创始人Larry Page 和 Sergey Brin 当年的出席)，谷歌至今已经设计了2000余个有趣多彩的徽标，让其用户能够在当日，想起那些具有重要里程碑的日子。
